Corn Waffles

Ingredients
- 1 1⁄2 cups cornmeal
- 1⁄3 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 2 cups buttermilk
- 1⁄4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
Directions
- Combine cornmeal, flour, baking soda, salt, and sugar in a large bowl.
- Stir well and set aside.
- Combine buttermilk, oil, and egg and stir well.
- Add to dry ingredients, stirring until blended.
- Bake in preheated oiled waffle iron.
