Cooks Flaky Old Fashion Pie Crust

  1. In a large bowl combine salt and flour.
  2. Using mixing spoon, cut in tiny diced pieces of cold butter, mixing until flour looks like bread crumbs.
  3. add water mixing continuously until you have thick dough.
  4. Work dough into a ball and cover with plastic wrap.
  5. Chill raw dough ball in fridge for at least 4 hours or over night.
  6. Split in half on lightly floured surface, roll each pie crust in desired shape. I recommend rolling each crust to 1/8" - 1/4" thickness.
  7. After filling pie and adding top crust, use sauce brush to spread beaten egg over the top crust getting every nook and cranny.
