Connie's Smokies

Ingredients
- 1 kg Little Smokies sausage
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 (350 ml) can beer
Directions
- Slice the smokies into 1/4 inch slices.
- Bring cider, brown sugar and beer to a low boil in a heavy sauce pan.
- Add smokies and boil for at least 45 minutes.
- Serve warm with toothpicks for picking up.
- The brine can be frozen to be used again.
