Coney Island Sauce - Flint Style

This is exactly like the Coney Sauce my husband grew up eating in the Flint, MI area.

Ingredients

• 2  lbs hamburger
• 6  ounces tomato paste
• 6  ounces water
• 2  tablespoons mustard
• 2  tablespoons chili powder
• 1  garlic clove, minced
• 1  small onion, finely chopped
• 1  teaspoon cumin

Directions

1. Do not precook hamburger.
2. Combine all ingredients in 2 quart.
3. saucepan.
4. Cover and cook on medium heat for 1 hour.
5. Stir occasionally, blot to remove excess fat and liquid.
6. Serve over cooked hot dogs.
