Coney Island Burgers–Copycat

This is the closest I could get to my beloved hometown burger shop, Coney Island. You slather this sauce on thin patties and top with American cheese and onions. And that's it! So good! They also put it on hotdogs.

Ingredients

• 6  ounces tomato paste
• 1 1⁄2 cups water (add more if needed)
• 3  tablespoons mustard
• 1  teaspoon sugar
• 1  teaspoon salt
• 1  teaspoon pepper (more if needed)
• 1  teaspoon chili powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon onion powder
• 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
• 4  shakes  louisiana hot sauce

Directions

1. Mix this well and set aside. Allow to sit for a few hours for flavors to develop.
2. Use to make hamburgers and hot dogs.
