Coney Dog Sauce

I have not tried this recipe. I found this recipe here on recipezaar message board. I don't remember who posted the recipe. The recipe was written as "The Real Deal".

• Serves: 8-12

Ingredients

• 2  tablespoons butter
• 1 1⁄2 lbs lean ground beef
• 2  medium onions, minced
• 1  garlic clove, minced
• 3  tablespoons chili powder
• 2  tablespoons prepared mustard
• 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
• 1 (6 ounce) can water
• 8 -12  hot dogs (ground up)
•  salt and pepper

Directions

1. Dont pre brown the beef.
2. Combine all ingredients-except the ground up dogs- and simmer until thick.
3. Now add the ground up dogs and simmer 15 min longer.
4. Serve on "whole" hot dogs.
