Company Chicken

Serves: 6

Ingredients

  • 1  large  fryer, cut up
  • 1  cup  uncooked rice
  • 1 (10 3/4ounce) can  cream of chicken soup
  • 1 (10 3/4ounce) can  cream of celery soup
  • 1  teaspoon salt
  • 2  cups water
  • 1 (4 ounce) can  chopped  mixed mushrooms, drained
  • 3  tablespoons  melted butter

Directions

  1. Place rice in buttered casserole with a small amount of the water. Combine soups, salt, remaining water and mushrooms. Pour over rice. Dip chicken pieces in butter and lay on top of soups. Bake at 275 for 2 1/2 hours.
