Colonel Sanders’ Southern Pecan Pie

Ingredients
- 4 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1 cup light corn syrup (Karo brand)
- 1⁄3 cup sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice or 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 4 tablespoons soft salted butter
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 prepared pie crust, unbaked
- 2⁄3 cup pecans, halved
Directions
- Mix the first 7 ingredients together thoroughly.
- Spread 2/3 cup pecan halves in an unbaked pie shell.
- Pour liquid mixture over pecans in pie shell.
- Bake 35-45 minutes in 325 F degree oven.
