Ingredients
- 2 tablespoons instant coffee
- 1 cup scalded milk
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Scald coffee with milk.
- Mix sugar, cornstarch, salt and well beaten eggs.
- Strain milk; add gradually to sugar mixture.
- Add butter; cook in a double boiler until thick and creamy, stirring constantly.
- Add vanilla and cool.
