Coffee Cake

I have not tried this recipe. I got it from The chef @ ww recipes.com. We called my grandmother "instant Annie" because when she cooked meals, she always used canned this and that. But when she baked, she did great. We really enjoyed this coffee cake recipe and I'm glad I got it before she passed away. Show more

  1. Mix butter, 1 1/2 cups sugar, eggs, flour,.
  2. baking powder, baking soda, vanilla extract, and sour cream.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Mix the filling.
  5. Mix 1/2 cups sugar, walnuts, and cinnamon.
  6. Mix well.
  7. (I put the filling ingredients in a zip-lock bag and shake.
  8. well).
  9. Grease and flour a tube pan.
  10. Pre-heat oven 350 degrees.
  11. Pour half the batter into the pan, sprinkle 1/2 the filling on top, add remaining batter, then sprinkle the rest of the filling on top.
  12. DO NOT OVERCOOK.
  13. Bake 50 minutes.
  14. (Note: Can be frozen in a cookie tin with wax paper on top).
