Coconut- Pecan Butter Bars

Yields: 1 13x9 inch pan
Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, room temp. (no substitutions)
- 2 cups flour
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons sugar
- 4 eggs, well beaten
- 2 cups pecans
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 1⁄4 cup flour
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1 cup coconut
Directions
- Set oven to 375 degrees.
- Butter a 13 x 9-in pan.
- Mix butter, flour, salt and sugar until crumbly.
- Press into prepared pan.
- Bake for 7-10 mins; cool.
- In a mixing bowl, mix eggs, pecans, brown sugar, 1/4 cup flour, baking powder and coconut together.
- Spread over cooled pastry.
- Bake for 15 mins.
- Cool.
- Frost if desired with vanilla frosting.
