Coconut Chip Coffee Cake

Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 8 ounces sour cream
FILLING or TOPPING
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 cup flaked coconut
- 1⁄2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1⁄2 cup chopped walnuts
Directions
- In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Beat in vanilla. Combine the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt; add to the creamed mixture alternately with sour cream.
- Spoon half of the batter itno a greased 10 inch tube pan. Combine the filling ingredients; sprinkle half over the batter. Repeat layers. Bake at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool for 10 minutes before removing from pan to a wire rack.
