Cocoa Bread

Ingredients
- 1 cup boiling water
- 1⁄2 cup butter or 1⁄2 cup margarine
- 1⁄2 cup molasses
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 2 large eggs, lightly beaten
- 2 cups self-rising flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄4 cup unsweetened cocoa
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
Directions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the boiling water, butter, molasses and sugar.
- Let cool and then whisk in beaten eggs.
- Sift together the self-rising flour, baking soda, unsweetened cocoa and cinnamon.
- Whisk flour mixture into the molasses mixture and whisk until smooth.
- Pour batter into a greased and floured 8-inch square pan.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
