Clean out the Bread Box Pudding

Serves: 4-5

Ingredients

  • 2  cups  day-old  bread
  • 2  cups  coarsly crumbled left-over  doughnuts or 2  cups  muffins or 2  cups  cake or 2  cups  cookies
  • 5  eggs, beaten
  • 1  cup milk
  • 13 cup  mild honey
  • 1  tablespoon vanilla
  • 1  teaspoon cinnamon
  • 14 cup raisins or 14 cup  nuts or 14 cup  chopped dates
  • Topping

  • 12 pint  whipping cream
  • 2  tablespoons  mild honey
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla

Directions

  1. In mixing bowl combine all pudding ingredients.
  2. Pour into greased 1 1/2 qt baking dish.
  3. Bake 325 for 35-40 minutes until set.
  4. Serve warm or chilled with topping.
  5. For topping, chill beater, bowl and cream,.
  6. Whip until soft peaks form.
  7. Slowly beat in honey and vanilla.
  8. Serve on bread pudding.
