Clean Chocolate Chunk Cookies

delish bakery style cookies that are mildly sweet and gourmet tasting, lightly crisp on the outside and moist and chewy on the inside. These can also be made dairy free. Show more

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
  2. 1. In a large bowl beat coconut oil or butter for a minute.
  3. 2. Add sucanat or demerara and beat until combined and fluffy .
  4. 3. Add eggs and vanilla.
  5. 4. In a medium bowl combine flour, salt, and soda.
  6. 5. Add dry to wet in 2 batches combining with mixer.
  7. 6. Fold in chopped chocolate.
  8. 7. Drop cookie dough on cookie sheet and slightly roll with hands into flattened balls. I do 6 to a sheet.
  9. 8. Bake for 14-17 minutes.
  10. 9. Chill bowl of dough in refrigerator in between batches. This dough is better cooled.
  11. 10. Let cool on sheet for a couple minutes then transfer to wire reack or paper towels to finish cooling.
