Cinnamon Crumble for Apple Pie Served at 2013 Inaugural Luncheon

The topping for apple pie served on January 20, 2013 at the luncheon following the second Obama Inauguration

Ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup flour
• 1⁄4 cup sugar
• 2  tablespoons brown sugar, packed
• 1⁄4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
• 1  pinch salt
• 3  tablespoons unsalted butter, chilled and cut into 1/2 inch cubes

Directions

1. Blend first 5 ingredients in a food processor.
2. Add chilled butter cubes and pulse in on/off turns until the mixture resembles wet sand.
