Cinnamon Buttons

These are my absolute favorite cookies. They're really good cinnamon cookies with just a hint of almond flavor, which makes all the more tasty. I got them from "Teens Cook Dessert" and since I made them, my family's been asking for them all the time. Show more

Directions

  1. Place the butter, almonds, and sugar into a large bowl
  2. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed or until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the flour.
  4. Mix for 2 minutes, or until completely incorporated.
  5. Cover the dough with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours.
  6. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  7. Place the superfine sugar and cinnamon into a shallow bowl.
  8. Mix well.
  9. Scoop or roll the cookies into 3/4-inch balls
  10. Place them about 1 inch apart n an ungreased baking sheet
  11. Bake for 20 minutes, or until they just start to brown on the edges.
  12. Cool for about 5 minutes
  13. Roll them in cinnamon sugar.
  14. Cool on parchment or waxed paper.
