Cinnamon Bread

Ingredients
- 1⁄4 cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sour milk or 1 cup buttermilk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda (add to Milk)
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
Directions
- 1. Grease a loaf pan.
- 2. Add Soda to Milk.
- 3. Cream shortening & Sugar, add eggs, milk and vanilla. Stirring after each addition.
- 4. Add dry ingredients (Flour, baking power & Salt).
- 5. Stir until well combined.
- 6. Combine the 2 Tbs of white sugar and the cinnamon in separate small bowl.
- 7. Spread 1/3 of the batter in the pan.
- 8. Sprinkle with the Cinnamon Sugar mixture.
- 9. Repeat 2 more times.
- 10. Bake for approximately 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the middle comes out clean.
