Cinnamon and Raisin Biscuits

this will make about a dozen..just right for a lazy Sunday morning

  1. combine flour, sugar, soda and 1/2 tsp cinnamon in bowl --
  2. cut in 6 tbls butter until crumbly --
  3. mix in raisins -- add buttermilk.mixing to form soft dough.
  4. knead lightly on floured surface.
  5. pat into rectangle.
  6. sprinkle generously with additional cinnamon.
  7. knead lightly.
  8. pat to 1/2"-3/4" thickness.
  9. cut into biscuits.
  10. placeo on baking sheets.
  11. bake at 425* for 12-15 minutes or until light brown --
  12. spread hot biscuits with vanilla glaze --
  13. to prepare VANILLA GLAZE:.
  14. blend softened butter, milk, vanilla and confectioners sugar in a bowl --
  15. spread over hot biscuits.
  16. serve warm.
