Chunky Honey-Peach Ice Cream --

Serves: 4

Yields: 1 quart

Ingredients

  • 1  tablespoon cornstarch
  • 12 cup sugar
  • 1 12 cups  whole milk
  • 2  tablespoons honey
  • 2  peeled and pureed  peaches
  • 2  peeled and chopped  peaches
  • 12 cup  whole milk
  • 18 teaspoon  almond extract
  • 1  teaspoon pure vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Mix the cornstarch and sugar. Stir in the milk and honey . Cook over medium heat and when bubbling cook 1-2 minutes. Refrigerate overnight or until thoroughly chilled.
  2. Peel and puree 2 peaches. Peel and chop 2 peaches.
  3. Combine the pureed peaches, chopped peaches, chilled milk mixture, almond and vanilla extracts and the remaining milk.
  4. Pour into a non-electric ice cream maker. Freeze according to the manufacturers directions.
