Chuckwagon Beans

This was a old recipe that my mother had when I was growing up. She made this for every cookout that we went to and we never got to bring any home. I could not find this recipe anywhere online so it thought that I would post this. Show more

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F.
  2. Fry bacon and set aside.
  3. In the same pan, brown the ground beef with the celery.
  4. Dissolve bouillon cubes in the boiling water.
  5. Stir all ingredients except the bacon together in a large dutch oven.
  6. Cover and bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until hot and bubbly.
  7. Crumble bacon on top and serve hot.
