  1. Brown bacon or salt pork in a heavy skillet. Remove from skillet; strain bacon, but reserve grease.
  2. Cook onion, pepper, and garlic in pork grease until tender. Strain if desired.
  3. Combine all ingredients in a pressure cooker.
  4. Be sure there is enough liquid to cover all ingredients.
  5. Select bean setting and cook at normal high pressure for 30 minutes.
