Christmas Tradition Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter or 1 cup margarine, softened
- 1 cup golden brown sugar, firmly packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tablespoons milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 3⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
- 3⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups milk chocolate chips
- 1 cup nuts (optional)
Directions
- Preheat oven to 375º F.
- In large bowl mix butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
- Mix in eggs, milk, and vanilla.
- Gradually mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until incorporated.
- Add chocolate chips (and/or optional nuts) and stir well with spoon.
- Drop by rounded teaspoons 1 ½ inches apart on greased baking sheets.
- Bake for 11 to 12 minutes.
- Let cool 2 minutes then move to racks.
- These cookies are touchy with baking time, so keep an eye on them!
