Christmas Tradition Milk Chocolate Chip Cookies

I found a wonderful recipe my aunt made, and well, improvised! That improvised recipe is the one you're looking at now! I began making these cookies in 2002, for Christmas. My entire family including all the aunts and uncles couldn't get enough of these! Since then I've made them each Christmas! If you love to bake, you might even do the same! This recipe can be doubled, to make lots of cookies for large families! Show more

  1. Preheat oven to 375º F.
  2. In large bowl mix butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Mix in eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually mix in flour, baking soda, and salt until incorporated.
  5. Add chocolate chips (and/or optional nuts) and stir well with spoon.
  6. Drop by rounded teaspoons 1 ½ inches apart on greased baking sheets.
  7. Bake for 11 to 12 minutes.
  8. Let cool 2 minutes then move to racks.
  9. These cookies are touchy with baking time, so keep an eye on them!
