Christmas Sugar Puffs

Yields: 4 dozen
Ingredients
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 egg
- 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoons baking soda
- red and green colored sugar sprinkle
Directions
- Mix all ingredients together.
- Roll into teaspoon-sized balls.
- Roll in colored sugar. Place 2 inches apart on baking sheet as they spread out.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 9 minutes.
- Carefully remove to cooling rack. Cookies puff up as they bake but flatten as they cool.
