Cholent Chulent Chu Chu Chu Chu Chulent

Yields: 6 quarts
Ingredients
- 1 cup white beans
- 2 cups pearl barley
- 2 potatoes (may use yams)
- 4 onions (medium)
- 1 head garlic
- 1 lb stew meat
- 4 tablespoons paprika (sweet or spicy)
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- salt and pepper
- 1 tablespoon oil
Directions
- chop two onions and mince the garlic.
- In a large pot fry the onions and garlic lightly.
- add the meat for a few minutes.
- shut off flame and add the rest of the ingredients.
- add water to cover and boil.
- let simmer for as long as possible checking the water level from time to time.
- for best results use a slow cooker (crockpot).
