Chocolate Snowflakes

Ingredients
- 1 cup butter, softened
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 ounces semisweet chocolate, melted or 2 ounces Choco-bake
- 2 1⁄4 cups flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 cup powdered sugar, to decorate
Directions
- Beat butter and sugar in large bowl at high speed until fluffy. Beat in egg and vanilla. Add melted chocolate; mix well. Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well Cover; refrigerate about 2 hours or until firm.
- oven to 325. Grease cookie sheets.
- Roll dough on floured surface to 1/8" thick. Cut with circle cookie cutter. Place 1 inch apart on cookie sheet.
- Bake 8-10 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Remove and cool completely.
- Make snowflakes out of parchment cutting circles the same size as the cookies. Fold into half, then quarter and create snowflake design. Unfold and place on top of cookies. Generously sift powdered sugar over each. Carefully remove the paper and repeat on all.
