Chocolate Pretzels

these can be made into different shapes...like names or letters to spell Happy Birthday etc..

Directions

  1. Cream butter and sugar till light and fluffy. Blend in egg and vanilla; add flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt just till blended.
  2. Divide dough in half. Wrap one half in plastic wrap; set aside.
  3. Shape remaining dough by tablespoonfuls into 9" long ropes.
  4. Twist into pretzel shapes.
  5. Lightly press into sprinkles.
  6. Arrange sprinkle side up on lightly greased cookie sheet.
  7. Repeat with remaining dough.
  8. Bake at 350° for 15 minutes.
  9. Remove to wire rack to cool completely.
