Chocolate Pie

Ingredients
- 1 sheet shortcrust pastry
- 2 egg yolks
- 3 tablespoons cocoa powder
- 1 cup white sugar
- 1 cup milk
- 3 tablespoons plain flour
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 tablespoons butter
Directions
- Line line pie pan with pastry.
- Prick & cook.
- Mix sugar, flour and cocoa.
- Add egg yolks & mix.
- Gradually add milk.
- Stir well & cook until almost thick, then add vanilla & butter.
- Stir constantly.
- Put into pie case.
- Beat egg whites with a little sugar & cream of tartar until stiff.
- Spread on top of pie.
- Cook in moderate oven until light golden brown.
