Chocolate Pecan Pie

Ingredients
- 3⁄4 cup sugar
- 1 cup dark corn syrup or 1 cup Karo syrup
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 2 tablespoons flour
- 3 eggs
- 2 tablespoons butter or 2 tablespoons margarine
- 3 ounces unsweetened chocolate
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 3⁄4 cups pecan halves

Directions
- Preheat oven to 300 F degrees .
- Combine butter and chocolate in small saucepan and set to melt over low heat.
- In a separate bowl, combine and beat sugar, Karo, salt, flour and eggs.
- Stir chocolate mixture occasionally until melted, smooth in finish.
- Combine chocolate sauce and vanilla with sugar mixture. Stir in pecans and pour into unbaked pie shell.
- Bake for one hour or until the filling cracks a few times in the center.
