Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup softened butter
- 1⁄2 cup peanut butter
- 1⁄2 cup sugar
- 1⁄4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1⁄4 cups flour
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄4 teaspoon baking soda

- 1⁄3 cup baker's cocoa
- 1 (12 ounce) package chocolate chips, dark or 1 (12 ounce) package milk
Directions
- Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
- Cream the butter, peanut butter, sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Beat in the extract and the egg, blending well.
- Sift the dry ingredients.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients (about 1/2 cup at a time) to the moist ingredients, mixing until smooth after each addition. When all of the dry mixture is incorporated, mix in the chocolate chips by hand.
- Drop tablespoonfuls of dough onto greased cookie sheets 2 to 3 inches apart. Bake 12-14 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the thickest cookie comes out with only melted chocolate on it. Cool on cookie sheets 3 minutes and transfer to wire racks to cool completely.
