Chocolate Orange Green Smoothie

A delicious chocolate-orange delight with over five servings of fruits and vegetables! You won't even realize it has spinach in it. Show more

Ingredients

  • 1  banana
  • 1  ounce dates
  • 1  cup  orange juice
  • 2 -4  cups spinach
  • 1  cup  ice
  • 1  tablespoon cocoa powder (I prefer Dutch-processed)
  • 2  tablespoons  protein powder (optional, I prefer hemp protein) (optional)

Directions

  1. Blend all ingredients well. If you have a very powerful blender, such as the Vitamix, you can simply blend for one minute. If you have a standard blender, blend for one minute, stop, push any stray spinach down into the smoothie mixture, then blend for another 2 minutes, or until smooth.
  2. Pour into a glass and enjoy!
