Chocolate Orange Bread

This is not a cake! It has a full chocolaty flavor without being overly rich or sweet. This also has to be one of the most nutritious way to enjoy chocolate. Feel free to add raisins, cranberries, nuts, or chocolate chips as well. Show more

  1. Preheat the oven to 325°F.
  2. Mix together the cocoa powder, flours, baking soda, salt, and brown sugar.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the eggs.
  4. Add the orange juice, oil, vanilla, and honey to the eggs and mix well.
  5. Mix the dry ingredients into the second bowl, making sure to crush any clumps of cocoa powder.
  6. Zest an orange over the bowl and mix it in .
  7. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan and bake it for approximately one hour, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
