Ingredients

  • Cookies Layer

  • 2 (1 ounce)  unsweetened chocolate squares
  • 12 cup butter
  • 1  cup sugar
  • 34 cup flour, sifted
  • 2  eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla
  • Mint Filling

  • 1 12 cups powdered sugar
  • 2  tablespoons butter, softened
  • 34 teaspoon  peppermint extract
  • 2  tablespoons heavy cream or 2  tablespoons evaporated milk
  •  green food coloring
  • Glaze

  • 3  ounces  German sweet chocolate
  • 2  tablespoons butter
  • 2  tablespoons butter
  • 2  teaspoons vanilla
  • 12 inch  piece  paraffin wax

Directions

  1. Cookies Layer:.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate over low heat. Mix flour & sugar. Add to chocolate mixture. Add eggs & vanilla. Pour into greased 9x9x2 inch pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool.
  3. Mint Filling:.
  4. Combine ingredients and beat until smooth. Spread over cookie layer. Chill until firm.
  5. Glaze:.
  6. Melt ingredients. Spread over cookies. Cut into 1 inch squares.
