Chocolate Marshmallow Meltaway Cookies

have not tried this..but found the recipe in a friend's cookie cookbook and wanted a copy for myself..

Ingredients

• 1⁄2 cup  Butter Flavor Crisco
• 3⁄4 cup sugar
• 1  large egg
• 1⁄4 cup milk
• 1 3⁄4 cups flour
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 1⁄2 cup cocoa powder
• 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 teaspoon baking soda
• 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
• 18  large marshmallows

• FROSTING

• 3  tablespoons butter, softened
• 3  cups powdered sugar
• 4 -6  tablespoons milk

Directions

1. in bowl, cream crisco and sugar, beat in egg, milk and vanilla.combine flour, cocoa, baking soda, and salt -- gradually add to the creamed mixture --
2. drop by tblsful 2" apart on ungreased cookie sheet
3. bake at 350* for 8 minutes.
4. press half of large marshmallow , cut side down on each cookie --
5. bake 2 minutes longer --
6. remove to racks to cool completely --
7. to prepare FROSTING:.
8. in small bowl, combine frosting ingredients add enough milk for spreading consistency --
9. frost cooled cookies.
