Chocolate Macadamia Nut Cookies

Ingredients

  • 10  tablespoons butter
  • 34 cup  packed brown sugar
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla
  • 1  egg, lightly beaten
  • 1  cup all-purpose flour
  • 34 teaspoon baking powder
  • 18 teaspoon baking soda
  • 18 teaspoon salt
  • 1 12 cups  semi-sweet chocolate chips (9 oz)
  • 34 cup  coarsely chopped  macadamia nuts
  • 34 cup  coarsely chopped pecans
  • Caramel Glaze

  • 12  caramel candies
  • 2  tablespoons  whipping cream

Directions

  1. In a mixing bowl cream butter,sugar and vanilla.
  2. Add egg.
  3. Combine flour,baking powder,baking soda and salt,add to creamned mixture and mix well.
  4. Fold in chocolate chips and nuts.
  5. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart onto greased baking sheets.
  6. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or until golden.
  7. Cool on wire racks.
  8. For Glaze: Melt caramels and cream in a saucepan over low heat,stirring until smooth.
  9. Drizzle over cooled cookies.
