Chocolate Dobash Cake

This was given to me years ago by a wonderful lady in New Orleans, It has been one of the best cakes in my cookbook. Very easy to make also! Enjoy. Show more

Yields: 1 wonderful Cake

Ingredients

  • 1  frozen sara lee  poundcake
  • 12 cup butter
  • 6  ounces  semisweet chocolate
  • 14 cup water
  • 4  egg yolks
  • 1  teaspoon vanilla
  • 2  tablespoons powdered sugar

Directions

  1. Melt butter, water and choc.
  2. in double boiler over med.
  3. heat.
  4. After that melts, cool, add egg yolks, sugar and vanilla.
  5. Layer cake in 8 small layers.
  6. Use as Filling and frosting.
