Chocolate Covered Raisin and Oatmeal Cookies

I love cookies and having 2 little ones in the house, they make a great sweet treat for them. I came up with these when I was out of raisins but had some chocolate covered ones. I just improvised and they came out soooooooo awesome. Sometimes I will add peanut butter to them too. They are chewy and just killer!!!! Of course, I have refined the recipe some and use chocolate chips now, but whatever. Show more

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375.
  2. Cream together sugars, butter and shortening.
  3. Add vanilla and eggs, beat together until you have a grainy paste.
  4. Combine dry ingredients and gradually add to sugar mixture.
  5. Stir in raisins and chocolate chips.
  6. Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie pan.
  7. Bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
