Chocolate Coconut Bars

With nuts, chocolate, and a creamy cheesecake layer these are great snacks.

  1. Unroll crescent roll dough into one long rectangle on a ungreased baking sheet.
  2. Seal seams, and perforations, then roll out into a 9x13 inch rectangle building up dough around edges.
  3. In a small bowl, beat the cream cheese, sugar, and egg until smooth, and stir in the coconut.
  4. Spread this over the crust.
  5. Bake at 375 degrees for 10-15 minutes or until cream cheese mixture is set.
  6. Immediately sprinkle with the chocolate chips, and let stand for 5 minutes.
  7. Spread the melted chipsover the top, and sprinkle with the nuts.
  8. Cool completely before cutting.
