Ingredients
crumb topping
- 1⁄2 cup packed brown sugar
- 1⁄2 cup flour
- 1⁄4 cup butter
- 1⁄4 cup chopped walnuts
- 1 cup chocolate chips
COFFEE CAKE
- 8 ounces cream cheese
- 1 1⁄2 cups sugar
- 3⁄4 cup butter
- 3 eggs, beaten
- 3⁄4 cup milk
- 3⁄4 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons baking powder
- 3⁄4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
Directions
- Crumb Topping.
- Combine brown sugar and flour.
- Cut in butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in nuts and chocolate chips.
- Set aside.
- Cake.
- Combine cream cheese, sugar, butter, mix at medium speed until blended.
- Blend in eggs and vanilla.
- Add combined dry ingredients and milk, mixing well.
- Spoon into greased and floured 13 x 9 inch pan.
- Sprinkle with crumb mixture.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
