Chocolate Chip Banana Bread

This was sent to me by a friend. It is moist and "chocolaty". Would maybe not describe it a a bread but more like a cake. The sour cream really sets the chocolate off. Show more

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Grease and flour a large loaf pan.
  3. Mix flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt together in a medium bowl.
  4. In another bowl, cream butter, both white and brown sugar and vanilla.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, beating after each until light and creamy.
  6. Mix in about one third of the flour mixture.
  7. Mix in bananas, then another third of the flour, then sour cream and then the remaining flour.
  8. Fold in the chocolate chips and walnuts.
  9. Scrape the batter into the prepared pan.
  10. Bake for 60 minutes or until done.
  11. Cool on a wire rack.
