  1. Combine flour, sugar, and soda, combine water, margarine, and cocoa and bring to a full boil over medium heat.
  2. Stir cocoa mixture slowly into flour mixture, add buttermilk, eggs and vanilla.
  3. Stir until well blended and pour into a greased 13 x 8 x 2 inch pan.
  4. Bake at 350 degree oven for about 35 minutes.
  5. Chocolate Candy Icing: Combine margarine, cocoa, and mik and bring to a boil.
  6. Add sugar, stir occasionally and cook 2 minutes over medium heat.
  7. (Over stirring will cause icing to be sugary).
  8. Remove from heat, add vanilla and nuts.
  9. Cool icing a few minutes but pour on cake before icing becomes too thick.
