Chipotle Barbecue Sauce, Texas Style

this barbecue sauce is smoky and sweet.. this sauce is good on anything you can put on the pit, chicken, beef, pork, and it is excellent on shrimp. side note: in a pinch, you can substitute the panela for firmly packed brown sugar, but the flavors are not quite the same. also this sauce freezes well for later use, and actually can intensify in flavor.
