Chinese Plum Sauce

Yields: 2 1/4 CUPS
Ingredients
- 18 ounces plum jam
- 2 tablespoons vinegar
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon dried onion flakes (I sometimes used dried)
- 1 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (or to taste)
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- 1⁄2-1 teaspoon fresh gingerroot
- soy sauce (a couple of splashed could be optional)
Directions
- In a saucepan over medium heat, combine all the ingredients.
- Bring to a boil, stirring.
- Let simmer a couple minutes. then remove from heat. Great warm or at room temperature.
