Chili Roasted Rutabaga

Ingredients

  • 2  tablespoons  vegetable oil
  • 1 12 teaspoons chili powder
  • 1  teaspoon onion powder
  • 1  teaspoon  garlic salt
  • 12 teaspoon sugar
  • 12 teaspoon paprika
  • 14 teaspoon cayenne
  • 1 12 lbs  rutabagas

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 400. Mix first 7 ingredients in a medium bowl.
  2. Peel rutabagas and cut them into chunks that are 2 inches long and ½-1 inch wide.
  3. Toss with the spice mix.
  4. Transfer to a large baking sheet, spreading pieces out evenly.
  5. Bake until tender and somewhat browned, stirring occasionally, about 25 minutes.
