Chicken Caesar Tortellini With Toasted Almonds

Ingredients
- 250 g cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
- 1⁄2 cup caesar salad dressing (creamy, preferably homemade or ranch dressing)
- 1⁄4 teaspoon black pepper, fresh
- 1⁄4 cup fresh basil, chopped
- 2 cups cooked chicken
- 1⁄4 cup slivered almonds, toasted
- 1⁄4 cup parmesan cheese, grated
Directions
- Cook tortellini in salted water. Rinse tortellini under cold running water until cool; drain.
- Stir dressing with black pepper and basil. Add tortellini -- avoid breaking up the pasta. Salad can be covered and refrigerated for up to a day.
- When ready to serve, gently fold in chicken and nuts. Sprinkle Parmesan over top.
