Chicken a La Korot

Ingredients
- 1 whole chicken (cut up)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1 tablespoon canola oil
- 2 teaspoons minced garlic cloves
- 1 jalapeno pepper, finely diced
- 2 cups sliced mushrooms
- salt & pepper
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese
Directions
- Melt butter and oil in lg skillet on medium high heat. Add garlic and jalapeno pepper, saute 1 - 2 minutes. Add chicken skin side down. Brown on both sides. Lower heat to med low. Add mushrooms, salt & pepper. Cover and cook for 45 minutes. Remove chicken to platter. Turn up heat to med high, add flour and work into a roux. Slowly add chicken broth to make a gravy and then add the entire package of crean cheese. Work in cream cheese until well blended to a creamy sauce. Add chicken back into sauce. Serve over noodles or any pasta you like.
