Chewy Peanut Brownie Bars

Ingredients
Crust
- 1 (19 1/2ounce) package fudge brownie mix
- 1⁄2 cup butter, melted
- 1 egg
Filling
- 1 cup light corn syrup
- 3⁄4 cup peanut butter
- 1 cup unsalted peanuts
- 1 tablespoon butter, melted
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
Glaze
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 1 ounce unsweetened chocolate
- 7 1⁄2 teaspoons water
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon vanilla
Directions
- Heat oven to 350. In large bowl, combine all crust ingredients; mix well. Press evenly in bottom of ungreased 15 x 10 x 1 inch baking pan.
- In small bowl, beat corn syrup and peanut butter at low speed until well blended. Stir in remaining filling ingredients. Spread filling evenly over crust to within 1/2 inch of edges.
- Bake at 350 for 18-20 minutes or until edges are firm and center is just firm to the touch. Cool completely.
- In small saucepan over low heat, heat 1 T. butter, chocolate and water until mixture is smooth. Remove from heat. Stir in powdered sugar and 1/2 t. vanilla; blend until smooth. Drizzle glaze over cooled brownies. Let stand until set. Cut into bars.
