Cherries With Almonds and Mint

Ingredients
- 1 lb cherries, pitted
- 1 1⁄2 tablespoons sugar
- 1 tablespoon amaretto liqueur
- 1 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1⁄2 cup slivered almonds, toasted
- 5 -6 mint leaves, chopped
Directions
- 1. Warm cherries and sugar in a nonstick pan until the sugar begins to dissolve and cherries release their juices.
- 2. Add the amaretto and lemon juice and cook until the liquid starts to reduce.
- 3. Place cherries and liquid into serving bowls (with or without ice cream) and top with almonds and mint.
