Cheesy Chocolate Gateaux

• Yields: 12 Gateaux

Ingredients

• 8  ounces cream cheese
• 1  egg
• 1⁄3 cup sugar
• 1 1⁄2 cups flour
• 1⁄4 cup  cocoa
• 1  cup sugar
• 1  teaspoon baking soda
• 1  tablespoon vinegar
• 1  teaspoon vanilla
• 1  cup water
• 1⁄3 cup  cooking oil

Directions

1. Combine cream cheese, egg, & sugar and set aside.
2. Mix the rest of the ingredients in a separate bowl until well combined.
3. Fill greased muffin tins 1/3 full with chocolate batter.
4. Top each with a heaping tsp of cream cheese mixture.
5. Bake at 350 degrees F for 20 minutes.
