Cheesy Bacon Meatloaf

Yields: 1 meatloaf
Ingredients
- 1 lb extra lean ground beef
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1⁄4 cup milk
- 1⁄4 cup dry breadcrumbs
- 1 tablespoon onions, finely chopped or 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon dried oregano leaves
- 1⁄8 teaspoon cracked black pepper
- 4 slices bacon, fully cooked
Directions
- Preheat oven to 400°F.
- Mix all ingredients except bacon (I normally mix the meat with the cheese and bread crumbs first, then I add the egg, milk and seasonings).
- Shape into loaf in 9x5-inch loaf pan; top with bacon.
- Bake 45 minute or until done (160ºF). Let stand 5 minute before removing from pan and slicing to serve.
